Kosovo Serbs in Rahovec to take part in November elections
(RTK) - Serbs in Rahovec will take part in the November elections if that is necessary. This is what Serb citizens in this Municipality said. Except for wellbeing and employment, they do not complain about their rights and for freedom of movement. Furthermore, almost all of them have got documents of the Republic of Kosovo, while they criticize Belgrade for leaving them non- integrated until now.
Slavoljub Grbovic, resident of a Rahovec neighbourhood said that if it is necessary to take part in the elections, they will do so. “I don’t know what to do, but I will do what others will do. If director for communities in the Municipal Assembly, who belongs to the Serb community says yes, then we will take part, why not,” said Mr. Grbovic.
Mayor of Rahovec Qazim Qeska said that Serbs in Rahovec feel like becoming part of the legal institutions, and they are willing to take part in the elections. Qeska stated that the Municipal Elections Commission consists also of a Serb community member.
On the other hand, based on the agreement reached with KEK, Serbs in Rahovec Municipality have some months ago started to pay the monthly rough amount of 25 euros for electric power. Interviewed Serb citizens said that it is natural to pay when you use electric power.
A great deal of Serb residents in Rahovec support legal institutions, while few of them support parallel structures that are present in this Municipality, as well.
