WWDC 2017: Apple previewed watchOS 4, featuring a proactive Siri watch face that displays the information users need most throughout the day, personalized Activity coaching and an entirely new music experience.
The 13-inch MacBook Pro has up to 3.5GHz Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost up to 4.0GHz, while the 15-inch model is clocked up to 3.1 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 4.1GHz and has more powerful discrete graphics. One big under the hood change is that iOS 11 is 64-bit only, which means some iPhone and iPad models won't be able to make the upgrade.
"Apple reinvented portable music with iPod and now HomePod will reinvent how we enjoy music wirelessly throughout our homes", says Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.
The Apple 10.5 inch iPad Pro comes with thin borders, reduced nearly as much as 40 per cent while it weights just around a pound. Executives also unveiled new MacBooks, iMacs and iPads at the conference, which for the past three years has focused exclusively on software. This, apparently, won't impact the battery life which stands at ten hours, because it dynamically adjusts the refresh rate depending on what you're doing, switching automatically from 24hz, 48hz or 120hz. The True Tone display is also 50 percent brighter than earlier models.
The new free software which will be the iOS 11 is expected to be out in September, when apple releases the iPhone's. The HomePod speaker provides Apple with a personal assistant type device to compete with Amazon's Alexa and Google Home, with Apple emphasizing the speaker quality rather than the personal assistant capabilities. Thanks to the new screens equipped, Apple Pencil is more responsive than ever with a 20-millisecond latency for fluid and natural drawing.
The new 10.5- and 12.9-inch iPad Pros are available for purchase now, priced from $649 and $779 respectively in 64GB+Wi-Fi configurations.
The company has redesigned the landing page and it now segregated into different categories including original stories and editorial, which is updated daily in a new Today tab, as well as new Games and Apps tabs.
