And in the Baltimore parking lot of a Walgreens, ICE agents arrested a barber and a local business owner who advocates said also had no criminal records. But they won't be detaining immigrants based exclusively on the potential that they are in the country illegally. "We have witnesses that six or seven were taken here".
We are horrified that a victim of domestic violence in Texas, Irving Gonzalez, was detained in an El Paso court while seeking a restraining order against her abuser. "But what's happening now, anyone with any charges- they could get pulled over for speeding- you could get deported now". "I don't want to speculate about why people are spreading rumors, but their actions are creating a risky environment for residents and law enforcement alike", she said. But some are hearing from concerned citizens.
The urgency in their voices is clear and it can be traced to the anti-immigrant atmosphere which is being stirred in many areas of the US. "That's what has driven us all along and that won't stop".
